Way too early to wake up to a fire
I woke up this morning to this weird alarm sound. I walked into the living room to see if it was my friend’s alarm clock, but it wasn’t.
I assumed someone had a really obnoxious alarm in my building and headed back to my room. I laid down for a few minutes and started to doze off when I hear WEEEEOOOOO. Then I see flashing lights outside my window.
I jumped up, saw the firetrucks, cop car, and ambulance pull up outside my window and everyone else already evacuated, running out of the building to across the street.
I ran into the living room, shook my friend, and said “Brenna, wake the fuck up. There’s a fire!” I’ve never seen her move that fast before in my life. We felt the door in case of flames and fucking sprinted downstairs and across the street.
It took a fucking hour for them to put out whatever the fuck happened. It was 8 in the fucking morning by the way.
Finally everything was clear. I’m still not quite sure what exactly had happened, but I guess it wasn’t too serious. Someone said it was just a kitchen fire.
No one was hurt at least and there wasn’t any damage to my building. It still was a pretty startling way to wake up. I guess the fire started in the building right next to mine. The complex is made of 3 buildings, all kind of smushed together.
I finally got to go back to bed. It was just way too early for all that shit. Who the fuck even cooks that early? Stupid fires, man.
